Apparently, a digital download isn’t enough for lots of David Archuleta fans who had waited for years for a new album from the Season 7 American Idol favorite.

A day after David released “Postcards in the Sky,” Amazon.com was already sold out of physical copies of the new 16-track CD.

It was listed as one of the site’s best sellers, along with an assurance that more physical CDs are on the way.

And on iTunes, the album was still number 28 on the pop chart and number 95 on the overall albums chart two days after its release.

“Postcards in the Sky” is the first album since 2013 for David. It features the songs from the “Leo” and “Orion” EPs he released earlier this year and also features eight new songs.

Among the highlights, a lovely duet called “Seasons” with former Voice contestant Madilyn Paige.

David let fans know how much he appreciated their patience and dedication via a video on Facebook.

“It has taken a lot of time,” he said of the new album. “I can’t thank you enough — you fans who have waited all these years — with my mission and the time after to find what was in my head and what was in my heart and allow the time for me to connect to it so I could write about it and allow you guys to connect to it too.”

David performed in the Philippines on release date but is back in the states this week with two shows scheduled in Pennsylvania.

He’ll be performing at The Sellersville Theater on Wednesday and at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh the following night.

You can check out all the upcoming tour dates on his Facebook page.
