After The Voice

Dia Frampton celebrates ‘Golden Years’ in her new single

Frampton has released the first song from her upcoming “Bruises” album.

It’s been five years since The Voice’s Season 1 runner-up released original music as a solo artist. That was her post-Voice album called “Red.”

The new song is “Golden Years.” It’s available on iTunes as a single or as an EP featuring the original version and three remixes.

The song “is about experiencing the highs and lows even during what you would consider the best time of your life,” Dia writes on Facebook.

“It’s about what you give up in order to gain something else. For me, it was touring with my best friends, but missing family back home, watching relationships slowly dissolve after nights of long phone calls, trying to have privacy in a packed 15 passenger van. ‘Golden Years’ is about being unapologetic about where you come from.”

Dia has also announced that “Bruises” will be released on March 4, 2017.

You can follow Dia through her Facebook page and website. On Twitter, she’s @DiaFramps.

As for that five-year gap between solo music, it was interrupted by an exceptional six-track self-titled EP called “Archis” that Dia released in February 2015 with musical partner Joe Trapanese. If you somehow missed that, be sure to check it out.
