The youngest singer on The Voice snagged Tuesday’s instant saved, completing the Top 13 for Season 21.
Hailey Mia of Team Kelly received enough instant saves votes to advance in the competition after a sing-off with Samuel Harness, Vaughn Mogel, Bella DeNapoli and Peedy Chavis.
From Clifton, N.J., Hailey was just 13 when she auditioned for The Voice and landed a spot on Team Ariana Grande.
Later stolen by Kelly Clarkson, Hailey recently turned 14.
Here are song by song grades for Tuesday’s save performances.
Samuel Harness (Team Legend), “Before You Go” by Lewis Capaldi: This was a good example of why Samuel was my favorite vocalist on the show, the distinct vocals, the rasp, the emotional delivery. This started a bit slow. But from the moment Samuel hit the chorus to the end of the performance, Samuel was in his groove and showing why he belonged in the Top 13. Grade: B+
Bella DeNapoli (Team Ariana), “Ain’t No Other Man” by Christina Aguilera: Bella sounded very good through the knockouts. Remember that about her time on The Voice. Because her two live playoff performances weren’t memorable. On this one, it seemed like she ran out of vocal gas at about the halfway point. Grade: C–
Peedy Chavis (Team Blake), “Stranger in My House” by Ronnie Milsap: Peedy dialed back the Elvis impersonation and delivered a better vocal with this performance than he did Monday night. Not an exceptional vocal and not the best of the save performance. But remember, Peedy’s only 19. Grade: C+
Hailey Mia (Team Kelly), “Jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri: Given how well very talented teens have done on past seasons of The Voice, I was a bit surprised Hailey wasn’t voted into the Top 13. She turned in another strong performance here, delivering glory note after glory note as she built toward the ending. My guess is, she’s just a moment away from catching fire with the show’s fans. Grade: B
Vaughn Mugol (Team Ariana), “Lay Me Down” by Sam Smith: Vaugnh delivered a couple of nice vocal moments early in this performance. But overall, it did not justify Ariana’s decision to nominate him for the Comeback Twist, let alone scream: I belong in the Top 13. Grade: C–

You do know that “The Voice” is returning this Fall.
A prediction: Arianna’s gone. She either can’t manage being the producers’ puppet or she can’t tell good singers from fodder.
Samuel Harness got the Suzy Vuluaca treatment.
Look her up if need be.
