Season 9, Season 9 Finals

Idol finals week 5: The photo gallery

The final nine American Idol season nine contestants took on Elvis Presley tunes, with the help of Adam Lambert Tuesday night.

And while the night didn’t feature any of those Idol moments — performances that will go down in the Idol annals as one of the all-time greats — it was short on cringe-worthy performances, too.

The fun resumes tonight at 9 p.m. with a results show that will feature appearances by Adam and season seven contestant Brooke White, plus the elimination of two Idol hopefuls.

Michael Lynche, Andrew Garcia and Aaron Kelly were in the bottom three last week. All three escaped elimination; Michael survived only because of the judges’ save.

Check back tonight for live blogging during the results show. If you missed the performance blogs, here’s a link to the song-by-song grades and a link to the recap blog.
