Jayna Elise, Top 12 on American Idol Season 22, has landed the role of Tina Turner in a show that will be touring the country beginning next month.

You might say Jayna Elise landed a pretty impressive role after finishing Top 12 on Season 22 of American Idol.

She’ll be playing Tina Turned in the upcoming show “Tina — The Tina Turner Musical.”

The show kicks off Sept. 24 in Springfield, Ohio, and is scheduled to run through June of next year.

Stops are planned in more than 50 cities, with multiple shows in several.

“Tina” will be in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 24-26 and nearby York, Pa. on Jan. 27.

“I’m so excited to be able to embark on this amazing journey,” Jayna writes on social media. I’ve been in rehearsals … and I can tell you — this show is going to be amazing.”

Jayna made the Top 55 on American Idol Season 21 before auditioning again for Season 22 at age 22.

She earned a golden ticket with her performance of Miley Cyrus’s “The Climb” and wound up making the voting rounds this time.
