Glee fans, meet Jessica Sanchez.
You’re about to, that is if you’re not already familiar with the teen who probably should have won Season 11 of American Idol had the finals been decided by vocal ability alone.
TVLine reported earlier this week that Jessica is about to join the Glee cast.
And Jessica made it official yesterday, tweeting: @GLEEonFOX @Americanidol Very very excited :)!! Thank you for the opportunity!
Now 17, Jessica would seem a natural fit for the show.
No word yet on what role she’ll be assuming.
And no word on how this might affect a debut album from Jessica.
We typically get albums from the Idol runner-up in time for the holiday shopping season, and often a week after the winner’s album is released.
We learned earlier this week that Phillip Phillips’ debut album will drop on Nov. 19.
