Season five American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee has canceled her Tuesday, July 13, concert at the Whitaker Center.

A scheduling conflict sparked the cancellation, according to the Whitaker Center, which says ticket holders should contact the box office at 717-214-ARTS for full reimbursement.

The conflict was with a TV commitment, said Nicole Newkam, public relations manager for the Whitaker Center in Harrisburg.

She said ticket sales for the show had been very good and were starting to gain momentum as the concert date approached.

Katharine has been touring in support of her second post-Idol album, “Unbroken,” released in January.

The album debuted at number 27 on the Billboard 200, but the singles from the album have failed to gain much traction on the charts. The video for the latest, a duet of “Terrified” with Zachary Levi, debuted last month.

Meanwhile, Katharine has quietly put together a pretty substantial acting resume, including a role in the 2008 film “House Bunny,” an appearance on the NBC comedy “Community” in March and an appearance on the new MTV show “When I Was 17” last month.

No word on what the specific TV conflict was, but I’ll pass it along if I find out.
