New post-Voice music out includes three songs with a summertime focus — from Kelsie Watts, Kat Hammock and Jon Mullins.

Here’s a bit about each of those new releases.

The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.

* Kelsie Watts from Season 19 is helping kick off the summer with her fun new tune “Summertime Anthem.” The accompanying music video landed Friday. Says Kelsie on her Instagram: “I’ve always wanted to have one of those dope mansion parties. But I don’t have a mansion. Or a pool. So I wrote this song about throwing a dope party anyway because who needs super fancy stuff to have an epic party?” Who indeed? The song already marks Kelsie’s fourth release of 2021.

* Kat Hammock from Season 17 tackles the fact that summer isn’t nearly as much fun when college lets out and forces you into a long-distance relationship in “June,” her new single. On her website blog, Kat writes about how the song was inspired by friends who were forced into long-distance relationships by the pandemic because college campuses were shut down. It marks Kat’s fourth release since appearing on the show and her ethereal vocals help drive home the song’s message.

* Jon Mullins from Season 18 is also hoping to get listeners into the summertime mood with his new song, “Hot Like Summer.” Jon calls it “a song unlike you’ve ever heard from me before.” And on Instagram, he writes: “I’m shakinggggg because I’m so excited about this track. Think: upbeat, pop, retro, and suuuuuper SING-A-LONG-ABLE!!!”
