Lauren Alaina, in the midst of her run on Dancing with the Stars, dropped her first single of 2019 Friday.

It’s a mid-tempo country tune called “Getting Good,” written by Emily Weisband and produced by David Garcia.

The song finds Lauren singing about being thankful for life’s blessings and taking time to enjoy the present.

Writes Lauren on social media: “I’m so proud of this song and the message behind it. Be present. Be thankful. Be sure that you are exactly where you are supposed to be.”

Right now, Lauren’s dancing on ABC. She survived the first celebrity elimination; Mary Wilson went home. The next episode of Dancing With the Stars airs Monday.

Meanwhile, the American Idol Season 10 runner-up has announced a new set of dates for her “That Girl Was Me” tour.

Her first-ever headlining tour, it had to be postponed because of her dancing commitment.
