Megan Lee of The Voice Season 14 has released a cover of “DNA” by BTS

We didn’t get to hear Megan Lee on Season 14 of The Voice.

That’s because the show decided to montage both her blind audition and her battle round performance.

Lots of people are hearing Megan now.

She just released a cover of “DNA” by K-pop group BTS with pianist Kurt Hugo Schneider, who’s featured former singing show contestants in a number of his videos.

The “DNA” video hit YouTube yesterday. It’s already been viewed nearly 240,000 times.

Honestly, I was surprised by The Voice’s treatment of Megan on the show.

She’s in her early 20s. She starred on the Nickelodeon show “Make It Pop.” She has more than 40 million views on her YouTube channel, more than 50,000 followers on Twitter, more than 150,000 on Instagram and more than 240,000 on Facebook.

And it’s not like the show has showcased many Asian-American singers.

Anyway, if you like her cover of DNA, it’s available on iTunes and Spotify.

Megan is also featured in a new cover of FRIENDS (it’s in English) with Jason Chen. It’s not available on iTunes yet, but a couple of their other collaborations are.

Here’s hoping Megan keeps shattering that temporary Voice-imposed silence.

And here’s “DNA.”
