With the release of her post-Idol album less than a month away, Maddie Poppe has revealed the title and cover art.

The title: “Whirlwind.” The cover art: That’s it embedded in this blog.

“In the past year of my life, it’s a word I’ve heard very, very often,” Maddie says in a Facebook interview. “People are always saying, I bet your life’s been a whirlwind.”

In fact, is it the best word to describe the past year and the album, Maddie said.

The cover was drawn by Dylan Mead, a 16-year-old who said he draw it in honor of Maddie’s Season 16 triumph on Idol.

“Whirlwind” isn’t available for pre-order yet, but we’ve probably already heard about half the album.

Since releasing “Going Going Gone” as her Idol winner’s single, Maddie’s released four other songs individually.

The include “Keep on Movin’ On,” “First Aid Kit,” “Little Things” and “Made You Miss.”

“Whirlwind” is set for a May 17 release. Yep, that’s two days before the Season 17 American Idol finale.
