“Enter the Fire” was written as the title track for an action movie of the same name.
It’s a story about a street fighter who wins a bout in defiance of mafia orders, then seeks refuge with his estranged brother.
To complicate matters, the street fighter falls for his brother’s ex-girlfriend as the mafia is closing in.
This marks the first time Madi has written for a movie. She says the result is a song that marks a departure from the sound of her post-Voice album, “Above the Waves,” released last year.
“The script, action and acting are so good, I wanted the song to reflect the same energy and emotion,” Madi says in a press release announcing the song and the film.
“I really liked the script and the lyrics just came to me,” she added.
The press release says she had an assist from fellow Voice cast mate Darius Scott and Michael Child, the producer of her aforementioned album.
Here’s the new song.
