Andrew Marshall from The Voice Season 20

Andrew Marshall is among the artists to announce that they auditioned for Season 20 of The Voice.

Here’s more about Andrew.

* The singer-songwriter recently completed his last semester of classes at the University of Massachusetts and writes that he’s “finally on the brink of focusing on my music full-time for the first time in my life.”

* He’s another of the Season 20 contestants to have already released music with two EPs to his credit.

* The first, a five-song acoustic project called “Letters from Lowell” was released in 2018 when he was a freshman in college.

* The second, a three-song EP with a full-band sound, is called “Growing Pains” and came out in June. Check out “Hurt Someone” from that project below.

* In an interview with Lowell Spin, Andrew said one of the biggest differences between the projects was that he looked inward for inspiration on the latest EP.

* “It’s crazy to think that I’ve been working on some of this music for over two years at this point,” he says in a press release announcing “Growing Pains “It’s a testament to getting kicked to the ground and standing back up, over and over … This is the music I’ve been meaning to make, the message I’ve been trying to send and I’ve been holding onto it for far too long.”

* You can check out at least three unreleased Andrew Marshall originals by following the link below to his YouTube channel.

* In his web bio, Andrew reveals that he was diagnosed with leukemia during his junior year of high school, leaving him undergoing treatments in the hospital while his classmates attended school.

Editor’s note: Season 20 of The Voice is scheduled to kick off Monday, March 1 on NBC.
