Anna Grace Hunt of American Idol Season 22

Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 18, with the judging trio of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan back intact.

Here’s more about Anna.

* She’s Anna Grace Hunt from Pembroke, N.C., a 2023 graduate of Purnell Swett High School there.

* She’s also of Native American descent, a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and has been an active advocate for that community.

* She was named Junior Miss Lumbee for 2017-18 and then won the honor of Teen Miss Lumbee in 2022, her senior year of high schoo.

* In the spring of 2022, Anna won the My Time To Shine competition in Lumberton, the largest talent show in that region of North Carolina.

* She nabbed her victory and a $1,000 first-place prize with a performance of Demi Lovato’s “Anyone.” Even then, Anna said she hoped to one day sing on American Idol.

* Anna’s been singing since she was very young and has more than 2,700 followers and more than 27,000 likes on her TikTok.

* Don’t be surprised if we hear an Adele song from her on Idol. “Adele songs will forever be my fav,” she writes alongside a cover of “Love in the Dark.” You can check out her impressive cover of “Someone Like You” below.
