Her audition: Destiny Rayne, 23, of Coral Springs, Fla., performed “To Make You Feel My Love” by Adele. Destiny showed off a nice tone on a soft gentle opening. But she also quickly demonstrated she has vocal firepower as well. John Legend turned midway through the performance. Gwen Stefani joined him moments later. Gwen calls her voice “gorgeous” and liked her connection to the song. John called it a special rendition of an often heard song. Destiny decided to join Team Legend.

* She’s a a singer-songwriter from Pompano Beach, Fla.

* Destiny began singing at age 3 and points to the late Selena as her first musical influence. “I remember watching her movie at a very young age, and being so captivated by her stage presence, her voice, the way she captured the audience and sang with her heart. … I want my music to do that.”

* Her Instagram page features a lovely cover of Phil Wickham’s “Living Hope.” Writes Destiny: “It’s been such an anthem for me. It’s reminded my soul once again of the power and beauty behind the gospel.”

* In May 2017, she released a four-track inspirational EP called “His Instrument.” It was available on all major music services at the time, but no longer appears to be.

* A pop single called “City Lights” is available on Apple Music. Check it out below. Destiny is also a featured vocalists on a couple of inspirational tracks released by Ocean’s Edge.

* Destiny is now residing in Nashville and engaged to fellow musician Jake Bonner. He’s part of a band called Bonray with his three siblings.

* In fact, Destiny’s most recent YouTube video features her and Jake covering “I Don’t Care” by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber. Writes Destiny: “Getting to sing a duet with my fiancé is a dream come true and this song couldn’t be a more perfect duet to kick off the first of many duets together.”

* Destiny says her biggest performance prior to The Voice was performing in Broadway Across America’s “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” when she was 12 years old. Also last year, she performed in front of a record label in hopes of a deal.

* Destiny told Voice Views she’d love to pursue a career as a Christian artist. “That’s where my heart is, and I love writing music that is personal, encouraging and hopeful. As far as style of music, I’d love to bring new color and vibe to my music — music that’s catchy, but has a soulful edge to it!”
