Her audition: Kaiya Hamilton, 26, Atlanta, Ga., performed “ICU” by CoCo Jones. Kaiya immediately showed off a unique, sultry sound. She earned chair turns from Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Buble. John called it some of the best singing we’ve heard today. Kelsea called her pitch and tone amazing. Michael said she has a deep, rich voice and the ability to do a ton of runs. She decided to join Team Michael.

Here’s more about Kaiya.

* She’s 27, hails from Greenville, N.C., and sings everything from gospel to pop music, according to her Soundcloud bio.

* She comes from a musical family that recognized her talent early on. By age 7, she began singing with her church youth choir and her school chorus.

* Kaiya was 13 when her mother entered her in a pageant to help with her shyness. She wound up with a role in a stage play called “Behind the Pulpit.”

* She was still in her mid-teens when she relocated to Atlanta to be closer to an acive music scene.

* And in 2017, she wound up on the VH1 showed “Signed” where aspiring artists competed for a chance to be signed to one of three record labels.

* On several occasions over the years, Kaiya has commented on releasing music. But she doesn’t appear to have music on streaming sites.

* When she does release music, her goal will be simple, she told Medium in a 2021 interview. “My music will be relatable and will inspire people to continue their dreams.”

* And she told Shoutout Atlanta, she thinks it’s her unique sound is her biggest asset. “I feel what sets me apart is my originality. I’ve never been told I sound like any other singer or artist, although I admire quite a few of them.”

* She’s been performing as a wedding singer for the past six years and has a list of 1,000 cover songs she can chose from.

* She’s also the mother of three — a 3-year-old named Journi and infant twins Jade and Jewel.

* Kaiya said appearing on The Voice is a sign that you can still pursue dreams no matter what’s going on in your life.

Update: On March 5, Kaiya released an original song called “Need You Here.
