Ryan Gallagher, a contestant on The Voice Season 19.

His audition: Ryan Gallagher, 31, of Ada, Mich., performed “The Prayer” by Andrea Bocelli. Kelly was clearly enthralled from the performance from the word go, but waited to push. Blake turned at the last second. Kelly called his voice “magical” and said he’s truly unique in the competition. Ryan decided to join Team Kelly.

Here’s more about Ryan:

* He recently appeared on the fourth season of MTV’s “Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love,” which, in spite of its name, threw exes together in a chalet in the mountains of New Zealand, not on a beach.

* Here’s his show bio: “Ryan showcased his serious pipes as a singer on American Idol. Now this all-American boy next door is coming to New Zealand looking for love — even though he’s already in a serious and committed relationship with God. But don’t let his ‘perfect angel’ persona fool you, Ryan loves to stir the pot and can be a little devil when it comes to love.”

* Full disclosure: I’ve never watched “Ex on the Beach.” I despise such shows. I have watched every season of Idol and don’t recall Ryan Gallagher as a contestant. That said, lots of contestants make the Hollywood round and are never featured on the show.

* At age 27, back in 2016, Ryan was a contestant on the ABC-CBN music competition show “I Love OPM (Original Pinoy Music),” which required contestants to sing Filipino songs. He made it all the way to the semi-finals.

* Ryan’s a classically trained vocalist, according to his website bio and got his start in music singing backup for Josh Groban. That bio says he’s also shared the stage with Michael Bolton and Carrie Underwood.

* While he’s performed a wide range of music, that bio indicates that Ryan’s “true love lives with classical ballads and jazz standards.”

* Writes Ryan in that bio: “I was put on this earth to entertain and move hearts back to a simpler place, in a world filled with distraction and distance, what better way to bring people together than through music, real music!”

* Ryan has four songs available on streaming sites, three from an EP called “When I Fall” plus a 2014 single called “Left Me with Her.” You can check out two of his songs below.

* He’s from the Grand Rapids, Mich., area and held a fundraiser there earlier this year for an 18-year-old friend suffering from cancer.
