Here’s more about Sasha.
* She’s a singer-songwriter from Paulding County, Ga., who has already released music.
* She’s also auditioned for The Voice before. She was selected for the final executive callback in L.A. for Season 14 in 2017 at age 13 and in 2019 for Season 18 at age 15, according to her website bio.
* Sasha began singing when she was young and started taking voice lessons at age 9.
* She grew up singing in her hometown New Salem Church and was performing with the adult praise and worship team by the time she was 12.
* In a May interview with Town Square Lifestyle Magazine, Sasha says leading worship played a big role in helping her become comfortable performing in front of a crowd.
* “I used to have really bad stage fright,” she told the site. “I think a big part of me learning to be confident on stage came from growing up watching and leading worship. Music connects all people. It’s meant to be felt, and it’s okay to interpret that through stage presence — that’s the art of performing. I always had it in me, I was just so worried about what others would think of me. However, worship has really taught how to emote music even through movement on stage and letting go of people-pleasing.”
* And she’s been performing around Georgia ever since landing her first gig outside church at age 14. Sasha also plays guitar.
* Sasha released her debut single, the catchy “Mr. No Good Guy” in 2020. She followed that up with the heartfelt “First” — a song she wrote about a woman waiting for someone who will put her first — in January 2021. Check out the lyric video below. And she says she’s been working on more original music.
* She told Lifestyle Magazine that Adele was one of her early inspirations and that her favorite covers to perform include “Billie Jean,” “Doin’ Time,” “Going to California,” “Linger” and “Champagne Supernova.”
