Serenity Arce of The Voice Season 25

Serenity Arce of The Voice Season 25

Her audition: Serenity Arce, 16, of Jupiter, Fla., performed “This City” by Sam Fischer. Serenity displayed a lovely tone from the opening line and has all four coaches facing her in a heartbeat. John and Chance led the way. But Serenity won’t be able to pick Dan + Shay, because they were blocked (by John). Meanwhile, Serenity completes an impressive audition and gets a standing ovation from the coaches. Dan said he felt that performance “deep down in my soul.” Chance called the performance “amazing” and said she could win. Reba called her voice “wonderful.” John says her voice is distinct, powerful and crisp. She decided to join Team Chance.

Here’s more about Serenity:

* She was 16 when she auditioned, but has since turned 17. She describes herself as a singer and dancer. That last name is pronounced “r-cee.”

* And she was just 14 when she stepped onto The Voice stage for Season 21 and auditioned with “I See Red” by Everybody Loves an Outlaw. Season 21 aired in the fall of 2021.

* She failed to turn a chair, but got particularly kind words from one of her idols, then Voice coach Ariana Grande.

* Ariana complimented her on a “cool tone” with “so many neat colors to your voice” and predicted she’s be “a rock star.” Blake Shelton said she’d do much better if she returned to the show after spending a year refining her skills.

* Serenity took the lack of a chair turn in stride, thanking The Voice for the opportunity on social media. She said once she stepped on the show’s stage “it felt so right. I know that this is what I want to do, and if I need a little push, so be it.”

* She’s since taken voice lessons and performed her first concert, and she’s clearly looking forward to her return to the show, writing: “Three years later!!! Second chances are real.”

* She’s also continued to dance. In fact, in the summer of 2022, she returned to L.A. as part of The Hoodlum Crew for the World of Dance competition. The crew placed ninth in the U.S. and 14th in the world, according to Serenity’s social media post about the event.

* Serenity says she was 7 years old when she was offered a vocal class at the dance studio she attended. “I’ve been singing ever since,” she told The Voice in 2021.
