Yes, 36-year-old Tony Lucca spent four years on the Micky Mouse Club, performing alongside the likes of Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

But it’s doubtful anyone on The Voice in Season 2 has a catelogue of music that can match his.

After the Micky Mouse Club was canceled, Tony headed to L.A. to pursue a career in acting and music, he told The Voice before his audition.

He wound up going the singer-songwriter route, releasing the first of his eight albums, “So Satisfied,” in 1997.   His latest, “Under the Influence,” was relesed in September and includes covers of 10 songs written by artists who influenced him, from Bruce Springsteen to Steely Dan to Tom Petty and Jimmy Hendrix.

Just for good measure, his discography includes a live album and about six EPs, with much of his material available on iTunes.

But all that new music hasn’t translated into big-time success, and Tony told The Voice he’s hoping appearing on the show will help him break through “that ceiling.”

The resident of Detroit, Mich., performed “Trouble” on this year’s season premiere of The Voice and got all four judges to turn around their chairs with that performance.

But he opted not to select former Micky Mouse Club co-star Christina as his mentor, going instead with Adam Levine.

It’s a decision he explained later in an interview with The Voice.

“He said, ‘You’re going to have an amazing career,'” Tony said.  “He didn’t say I think you’re a star or I’m going to make you a star.  He said career.  And something that I’ve always tried to achieve and maintain in my work is the potential for longevity.  For someone to say the word ‘career,’ that hit home and meant a lot.”
