Natalie Stovall has released her first post-Voice single, Wine or Whiskey.

Natalie Stovall promised new music soon.

She wasted no time fulfilling that promise.

Blake Shelton’s Season 13 comeback artist on The Voice dropped the single “Wine or Whiskey” on Friday. You can check it out below.

Natalie told Voice Views the song was written by three of her favorite writers, Andrew Dorff, Little Big Town’s Jimi Westbook and Lori McKenna, ACM songwriter of the year.

“The first time I heard this song, I felt like it was written for me,” Natalie said. “I was drawn to it in a way that I can’t explain. But there has been so much magic around its creation.

“It’s a song about balancing on that moment when you aren’t sure what’s about to happen next, whether your dreams are about to come true or be shattered,” she explained.

Oh, and here’s an interesting connection to her time on The Voice.

Westbrook, of Little Big Town, also sings on the song. In fact, he was in the studio recording his vocals at the same time Natalie was rehearsing to perform Little Big Town’s “Boondocks” in the battle round for the show.

Natalie told Voice Views more new music is on the way, including new songs she’s written.

In the meantime, if you’re a new fan, you can check out the two EPs and the singles she released before The Voice as Natalie Stovall and The Drive. They’re all available on iTunes and Spotify.

Meanwhile, here’s “Wine of Whiskey.”
