Judith Hill from The Voice Season 4

Judith Hill from The Voice Season 4 will release a new album next year.

Judith Hill, a Season 4 standout on The Voice, has announced plans to release a new album early next year.

And on Friday, she released “Americana” and “Thank You,” the first two songs off that album.

The album is called “Baby, I’m Hollywood,”, is due out Feb. 12 and is available for pre-order or pre-saving on iTunes and Apple Music.

Judith got to promote “Thank You” during last week’s NBA draft. “Americana,” a delicious slice of social commentary has an accompanying music video.

In an Instagram video, Judith talks about “Americana,” saying she wanted to write a song about what it feels like not to fit in, especially in America, “a place with very clear boxes.”

A black girl who grew up in an all-white, conservative, evangelical school, Judith says she’s spent all her life feeling like she didn’t fit in.

“Now we’re in a place where disenfranchised communities of color are speaking out and letting their voices be heard, and I’m here for you,” Judith says. “I really do hope and pray we get to a place where we see some real change.

“But I’m also noticing that the battle lines are being drawn, like some hard chore battle lines … what I really wanted to do is make a video and really look at the concept of otherness.

“While the whole country is tribing up, there is a group of people who are falling in the cracks. They’re seeing a reflection of themselves in more than just one tribe.

“The real question is: What is it like to have multiple identities? Do you deny a part of yourself so you can become a whole of something else?”

Judith says there’s also a story behind the naming of the album, one she promised to share at a later date.
