Recent post-Voice releases include singles from songwriters Angel Taylor, Dustin Christensen and Jubal Lee Young.

Here’s more about each of those releases.

The links will take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out the Spotify snippets below.

* Angel Taylor from Season 2 released “Selfish Kinda Lover” last week. Writes Angel on social media: “I’ll never forget the day this song came together. I was emotionally exhausted from battling heart and mind over someone I was gone about. The kinda gone where you ignore and justify all the red flags, haha. I went into the studio and before I knew it, I found myself writing down all the words he couldn’t ever say to me. It was like a word vomit that stung and felt amazing at the same time.”

* Dustin Christensen from Season 9 released “Younger Eyes” on Friday. It follows June’s “Once Upon a Time” as Dustin’s second single of 2020. But he’s been busier than that would indicate, co-writing songs that have been released by Tenille Townes, Hailey Whitters, Donovan Woods and The Brothers Osborne in between.

* Jubal Lee Young from Season 9 makes a political statement with his latest single, “This is What Democracy Looks Like.” Jubal wrote the Chris Love produced song which includes a chorus of: This is what Democracy looks like / Kindler, gentler, a thousand points of light / tear gas, broken glass, rubber bullets, dog bites / This is what Democracy looks like.” The music video is followed by a list of black Americans killed by police since Eric Garner’s death in July 2014. And a call for everyone to vote in November.
