I’m a little late with my rundown of new music released by former artists from The Voice, but here’s installment one.

Country gals Chevel Shepherd, Brennley Brown and Emily Ann Roberts all released new music over the past week.

The links below take you to the songs on Apple Music. I’ve embedded Spotify snippets, and Brennley’s music video, below.

* Chevel Shepherd has released her first official singles since winning The Voice Season 15. “Everybody’s Got a Story,” co-written by Kacey Musgraves, and “Mama Got the Chair,” written by Chevel’s Season 15 castmate Dave Fenley, came out Friday. The latter, Chevel explained to her local TV station is “the lady’s call back” to George Strait’s number one hit, “The Chair.”

* Brennley Brown from Season 12 will be releasing her debut EP next month and just dropped the timely music video for her superb second single, “One More Hallelujah.” Writes Brennley on Instagram: “I knew the moment I heard this song it was destined for much more than easy listening or commercial gain. What I didn’t know was just how vitally important this message would become. May it bring you hope in a time of uncertainty.”

* Emily Ann Roberts from Season 9 says she learned to sing “in the backseat of my parents car by singing along to songs.” Her new single is “How’s the Car Running,” a song she said was inspired by her dad. It’s Emily’s first single since her debut EP, “Someday Dream,” dropped last summer. She placed second on the show.
