New post-Voice music out includes singles from Jupiter Winter, Michael Lynch and Dave Fenley.

In addiiton, Madilyn Paige has a new cover out and Season 18 standout Joanna Serenko is featured on one.

Here’s a bit more about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music; snippets of each song appear below.

* Jupiter Winter, a duo that includes Lelia Broussard from Season 3, released an addictive new pop single called “Atmosphere” on Friday. Royce Whittaker is the other half of Jupiter Winter, and the band donated Friday’s Bandcamp proceeds from downloads of the song to the PDX Protest Bail Fund, designed to help those arrested in the Portland protests. It’s the third single this year from Jupiter Winter, following “Lifetime” and “Come Back.”

* Michael Lynch from Season 5 released “Forever You and Me” on Friday. It’s a song he wrote as a surprise for fiance Deirdra as a wedding gift. The song landed; the wedding had to be postponed because Michael tested positive for COVID-19. “I have been asymptomatic, and luckily Deirdra has tested negative twice … so we are grateful for that,” Michael writes on Instagram. It’s the second time the wedding’s been postponed, he added. Oh, well, they say the third time is the charm. And it’s a lovely song.

* Dave Fenley from Season 15 released “Country Wedding Song” last week. Hey, it’s a natural followup to “Country Birthday Song,” which he released last month. Both are quite catchy. There’s a music video for “Country Birthday Song,” but not one yet for the wedding song. A member of Team Blake, Dave finished Top 10 on The Voice.

* Madilyn Paige from Season 6 has released a cover of “Be Kind” by Halsey and Marshmello. Writes Madilyn on Instagram: “Pretty simple. In these times, or at any time, it’s so much better to just ‘Be Kind.'” It’s the latest in a series of impressive covers from Madilyn, who also recently joined with with Maddie Wilson, Bri Ray and Yahosh Bonner for a new cover of “Be the Light.”

* Joanna Serenko, from Season 18, is a featured vocalist on a cover of “Butterfly Fly Away” released earlier this month by Alexander Ruwe. The original was done by Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray. Twice stolen and once saved, Joanna advanced all the way to the semifinals on The Voice. Joanna released her official post-Voice single, “Good Side,” last month.
