During Tuesday’s battle round episode of The Voice, Adam Levine called it an odd pairing and an odd song choice.

But it worked.

And music lovers responded as well.

The biggest iTunes hit from Tuesday’s show turned out to be Reid Umstattd and Davison’s cover of Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain.”

The song had risen to number 112 on the iTunes overall singles chart by noon eastern time Wednesday, which is when voting typically ends following a live episode of The Voice.

It had also cracked the Top 50 on the iTunes pop chart.

Reid advanced from the Team Adam battle round match; Davison was eliminated when no other coach stepped forward to steal him.

Amber Sauer wound up in the same situation on Team Kelly Clarkson, though she and Jorge Eduardo also cracked the Top 200 on the overall singles chart with their cover of “Starving.”

Prior to this week’s battle rounds, only five songs from Season 14 of The Voice had managed to make it on that chart. Only three accomplished the feat by noon the next day.

In fact, the only songs not to chart from Tuesday’s show were from the three performances that were montaged.

Here’s a look at the final rankings, as of noon.
