Shane Q’s time on The Voice ended Tuesday night during the Top 10 results show.

But the silky voiced singer from Sacramento, Calif., quickly took to social media to let fans know all was well.

“I am beyond grateful and I exceeded all of my expectations by making to the Top 10,” he wrote. “This has been the best experience of my life and I have grown so much as an artist and as a person.”

And Shane, who hadn’t released music pre-Voice, told Voice Views he hopes to change that sometime next year.

Shane’s real name is Shane Quidachay, shortened to Shane Q for stage purposes because “it’s simple and easy to remember and no one has ever butchered it,” unlike his real name.

And while he doesn’t consider himself a country singer, Shane seemed to excel on The Voice when he was serving up soulful versions of country hits.

That was certainly the case in his blind audition when he turned four chairs with a cover of “Tennessee Whiskey,” launching him on the path to that Top 10 finish.

Here’s what Shane, 28 when he auditioned, told Voice Views about his time on the show and his plans in music.

Voice Views: What do you consider your biggest takeaway / lesson learned from The Voice experience?

Shane Q: I’ve learned so many things but the one thing that I learned was that if you want something, no matter what it is, you must put in work.

Voice Views: Which was your favorite Voice performance and why?

Shane Q: Oh, man, this is an impossible question to answer !!! I loved them all.

Voice Views: What are you post-Voice plans musically? Where are you hoping this opportunity leads?

Shane Q: I want to continue my music and play bigger venues and hopefully make the decision to do music full time!!!

Voice Views: Do you plan to release new music anytime soon? If so, can you tell me about that — what you’re planning, what fans can expert in terms of sound and the timetable for doing?

Shane Q: I plan to start working on original music this week and get the ball rolling on recording. Hoping to release an album mid to late 2020.

Voice Views: Is there anything else you’d like to add about The Voice experience?

Shane Q: This experience has truly changed my life. I’m forever grateful to The Voice.
