The Voice knockout round will air over the next two Monday nights as the field gets whittled down for the Season 25 playoffs.
Each team has seven singers remaining, but one of those has a playoff pass, meaning they’ll get to skip this round.
That leaves three knockouts matches per team with the singers going head to head on solo songs of their choosing.
Each coach has one steal this round. That means eight of the 24 singers competing in the knockouts will be eliminated.
That will leave each team with a newly stolen singer, three knockout round winners and a playoff pass recipient heading into the playoffs on April 22.
Here’s a look at Team Legend.
Best so far: Veteran Christian rocker Bryan Olesen turned in a brilliant blind audition, then got the playoff pass and might just end up with the Season 25 Voice trophy. If so, he’d become the second straight male rocker to accomplish the fear.
Most likely to make the playoffs: This team got stronger during the blinds with the addition of veteran female artist Val T. Webb via a steal. That gives Team Legend three singers who turned every chair in the blinds – Mafe, Gene Taylor and Val T. Smith. Nathan Chester has lots of experience too.
The team
Bryan Olesen, 49, turned 3 chairs in the blinds singing One Republic’s “Love Runs Out. He ‘lost’ his battle to Nathan Chester, but then received the playoff pass. They performed “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.
Gene Taylor, 33, of Vernon, N.J., turned 4 chairs in the blinds, performing Journey’s “Lights.” He then won his battle with Ronnie Wilson. They performed “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars.
Jackie Romeo, 20, of Massapequa, N.Y., turned 2 chairs in blinds, performing “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus. She then won her battle with Olivia Rubini. They performed “Edge of Seventeen” by Stevie Nicks
Mafe, 22, Miami, turned 4 chairs in the blinds, performing “Besame Mucho.” She then won her battle with Rivers Grayson. They sang “You’ve Got a Friend” by Carole King.
Nathan Chester, 27, of Chicago, turned 2 chairs in the blinds, singing Al Green’s “Take Me to the River.” He then ‘won’ his battle with Byran Olesen, who got the playoff pass. They performed “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.
Val T. Webb, 43,of New Braunfels, Texas, turned 4 chairs in the blinds, singing “Nobody’s Supposed to Be There” by Deborah Cox. She was then stolen by John after her battle with Rletto. They sang “Saving All My Love for You” by Whitney Houston.
Zoe Levert, 20, of New Orleans, turned 2 chairs in the blinds with her version of Taylor Swift’s “Better Man.” She then won her battle with the pop trio OK3. They performed “The Bones” by Maren Morris
