song hasn’t been released and might not be.

But it’s still worth sharing.

I’ll talking about “Blink of an Eye,” an original Tori Kelly wrote and dedicated to Christina Grimmie.

Christina was shot and killed by a crazed fan during a meet and great following a performance at an Orlando show last month. The gunman then turned the gun on himself.

Tori posted her song to YouTube Sunday. By mid-week, it already had nearly 500,000 views on YouTube.

The lyrics in part: “Can’t help but think / could have been me / out there chasing a dream / when suddenly it all stops / in a heartbeat.”

Along with the song, Tori posted this message: “This song was written for Christina Grimmie after she passed away tragically. I needed to write this song. Thank you to my good friend, Zac Poor, who was brave enough to take on the challenge of writing it with me. My heart was & is still so heavy when I think of her not being with us. However, I am still comforted knowing that I’ll get to see her again someday in heaven. My prayers go out to her family & loved ones.”

Meanwhile, the GoFundMe account set up on Christina’s behalf was closed earlier this month after raising nearly $200,000. The initial goal for the account, created by her manager, was $4,000.

In a statement to US Weekly, her family said they “will take our time in determining the best ways to honor Christina moving forward,” adding: “The outpouring of love and generosity that has been displayed to our family throughout these last few weeks has far exceeded anything we could have ever imagined.”
