A pair of Cinderella stories ended Tuesday night when Serenity Arce and Madison Curbelo were eliminated from The Voice.

Both young ladies had auditioned for the show previously, made it to the televised auditions, but failed to turn a chair.

They returned for Season 25.

This time, each turned all four chairs and made it all the way to the semifinals in the face of seasoned competition.

The five singers who advanced to the Season 25 finals — Nathan Chester, Bryan Olesen, Karen Waldrup, Josh Sanders and Asher HaVon — are the oldest group of finalists by average age in Voice history.

Serenity turned 17 during the course of Season 25 and was the youngest singer to make the semifinals. She competed for Team Chance.

After getting emotional during Tuesday’s results show, she posted a long thank you to everyone involved in her Voice journey on social media.

“The experience I’ve gained on this show is truly amazing,” Serenity writes.

“This is NOTTTT the end, it’s only a stepping stone to another chapter. thank you to everyone who supported, voted, and believed in me. it does NOT go unnoticed. stay tuned for whatever is to come next.”

Madison, 22, from Westfield, Maine, had tried out for Season 20 at age 18.

In between stints on The Voice, she released a pair of impressive singles, “My Baby Mine” from 2021 and “Old Dog” from 2022. And she’s been serving as drama club director at her former high school.

She competed for Team Dan + Shay on The Voice and said she sang “Time by Time” on Monday’s show because she was so inspired when she saw Season 1 champ Javier Colon sing it on the show back in 2011.

“Me? The Top 9? What an unreal thing to be able to say,” she wrote on social media Tuesday. “If this isn’t my Cinderella story then I don’t know what is.

“I can assure you this is not the end of my music,” she added. “I’ve got so many stories to tell and now I have the people to tell them to.”
