And the list of performers includes Season 9 Idol contestant Casey James.

Casey will perform at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.

These are free shows in a more intimate setting than the fair’s Grandstand events, and Casey won’t be the first former Idol on hand.

In recent years, WGTY brought Josh Gracin and Bucky Covington to the fair. WGTY also brought Lauren Alaina to town twice in the past year, most recently for the York Revolution’s FanFest.

Casey, who finished third on Idol, released his self-titled debut album in March. The album debuted at number two on the country album chart, features the lead single “Let’s Don’t Call It a Night” and spent four weeks on the Billboard 200.

His latest single is “Crying on a Suitcase.”

Other performers on the Radio Stage at the 2012 York Fair will include J.T. Hodges, Andy Gibson, Brittany Opperman, Thomas Rhett, Kristen Kelly, Dustin Lynch, Greg Bates, Jana Kramer, Mountain Road, The Farm, Due West and Katie Armiger.
