Dia Frampton's new album, "Bruises," will be out next week.

Dia Frampton’s new album, “Bruises,” will be out next week.

Dia Frampton’s first solo album in five years comes out March 3.

And with the album release just a week away, Dia has released a fourth track from the album — “Dead Man.”

Though she says the song still seems fresh to her, it’s actually the first written for the new album, dating back about four years.

“It’s about someone that I was in and out of a relationship with for four years, and looking back now, I wonder how we lasted for so long, ” Frampton told AXS.com, where the song premiered.

“Sometimes you just get stuck for a while, whether it’s with love or in a job you hate or in a city that makes you feel lost. Sometimes you just get stuck.”

“Bruises,” the new album, is available for pre-order on iTunes.

It includes 12 tracks; Dia has released four so far. “Dead Man” follows “Crave,” “Gold and Silver” and “Golden Years,” all of which are instant downloads for anyone pre-ordering the album.

While “Bruises” marks Dia’s first solo release since her post-Voice album, “Red,” she did release a superb six-track EP as Archis with Joseph Trapanese.

Dia placed second to Javier Colon on the first season of The Voice.

Here’s “Dead Man.”
