Whatever prompted Wyatt Pike to end his time on American Idol isn’t preventing him from playing or promoting his music.

On Tuesday, Wyatt dropped an acoustic performance music video for his previously released song “Friday Nights.”

And it’s already been viewed more than 56,000 times on YouTube.

Wyatt, a singer-songwriter from Park City, Utah, made the Top 16 on American Idol Season 16, but didn’t compete in the show to determined Idol’s Top 12.

Ryan Seacrest announced that he’d left the show for personal reasons.

Wyatt confirmed as much in a social media post without going into more specifics.

But he added that he’s “so thankful I get to play music for the rest of my life,” wished his Idol colleagues good luck and thanked his fans and followers.

He’s been posting regularly to Instagram ever since, including photos of receiving the Covid vaccine.

As for “Friday Nights,” it was featured on his 2020 EP “Brand New Boy,” which also included his Idol audition song, “Best for You.”

Since appearing on Idol, Wyatt’s also released an independent single called “Diana.” It came out in March.

Here’s “Friday Nights.”
