Davina Leone drops an EP and a podcast, plus more post-Voice music

Recent post-Voice releases include a new EP from Davina Leone and covers of classic songs by Wé McDonald, Judith Hill and Steve Knill.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.’

Davina Leone from Season 13 has already released her third EP since appearing on The Voice. “Thinking Its Forever” landed last week and includes six tracks of cool, laid-back pop. Standout songs include “Complicated” and “Make Me.” As a bonus, Davina has also launched a podcast with her mom called “Living with Davi and Evee. You can find promos and links for that on her Instagram.

Wé McDonald, a finalist from Season 11, has released her first music of 2020. It’s a very well-done cover of Lulu’s “To Sir With Love,” from the film by the same name, starring Sidney Poitier. Wé finished third on The Voice behind Sundance Head and Billy Gilman.

Judith Hill from Season 8 is the latest former Voice standout to collaborate with Scary Pockets. They’ve teamed up for a funk version of Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way.” Scary Pockets has already recently released covers featuring India Carney (“Creep”) and Abby Kelso (“Treasure”).

Steve Knill from Season 17 also recently released a new cover, in his case of Phil Collins “Another Day in Paradise.” He’s also recently released covers of “Shallow” from “A Star is Born” and Alicia Keys’ “Fallin’.”
