Justin Aaron, 34, of Junction City, Kansas, performed “Glory” by Common and John Legend. Justin unleashed a powerful and emotional vocal. Gwen Stefani turned well into the performance. But no one else didn’t turn. Gwen said she didn’t know “why the whole world wouldn’t turn for that,” adding that she was mesmerized by Justin’s performance. Justin wound up landing the final spot on her teeam.
Here’s more about Justin.
* He’s Justin Allen Black, a gospel and R&B artist from Junction City, Kansas.
* Justin says “from the time I can remember to now, I’ve always had a tune.” And he says his singing was inspired by his mother.
* That said, Justin adds “I ran from singing for a very long time. I did not think I was good enough.”
* He also says he struggled with depression and learning to accept and love himself.
* Justin says things changed when “I found the loves of my life — first Jesus Christ, then my wife and then music.”
* Justin says his “desire is to create music that will not just feel good but that can encourage others who have been in that same dark place I was in.”
* He previously performed with three other musicians as Justin Aaron and the Royal Priesthood.
* While he made references to original music on the group’s Facebook page, he doesn’t appear to have music on streaming sites.
* Justin calls one of his most recent social media posts a testimony interlude, writing: “I’ve been through so much pain in my life I , could write a whole book if I wanted to try, but that’s not thee important reason why I’m here to say, It was Jesus who changed my life. It was Jesus who saved my mind. It was Jesus. He did it for me. It was Jesus.”
