The battles conclude tonight on The Voice, and it’ll be a win of go home situation for most of the contestants.
That’s because all four playoff passes have been doled out, to Madison Curbelo (Team Dan + Shay), Bryan Olesen (Team Legend), L. Rodgers (Team Reba) and Nadège (Team Chance).
Three of the four steals have also been used, leaving only John Legend with the ability to rescue a singer from elimination.
For the record, John tried to steal Madison and Nadège before their coaches pulled the playoff pass to nip that option.
Unfortunately, one of tonight’s battles will likely be montaged. Last night, the Dani Stacy vs. Corey Curtis battle suffered that fate even though The Voice’s bloated format for the show included just 15 minutes of music in two hours.
Here’s a look at the pairings that remain.

Keith Urban is the mega mentor for the Knockout rounds.
https://www.mjsbigblog.com/who-is-the-voice-25-mega-mentor-a-popular-country-music-star.htm
I really wish the show would do away with all the mentors. They have 4 coaches. They exaggerate the amount of time they spend with the artists. A mega mentor just means we get to watch footage of contestants fawning over the mentor.
If I ever got a chance to meet one of my favorite stars,
I’d been fawning over him or her too.
I have a feeling he will probably be on in the fall as
a coach. Reba was the mega mentor for season 23. Then
she was announced as a new coach. I feel like the same
may happen here with Keith.
Some American Idol related news:
Daughtry has a new single out, called Pieces, and will be releasing an EP in the fall.

Also, Nigel Lythgoe, former producer of American Idol, has been hit with several sexual assault lawsuits,
https://www.mjsbigblog.com/nigel-lythgoe-hit-with-fourth-sexual-assault-lawsuit.htm
What a terrible man he is.
First he’s downright mean to Lisa Leushner (Season 3), Ayla Brown, and Gedeon Mckinney. (Both Season 5.)
Second he admitted he allowed Carmen Rasmussen (Season 2) to be wildcarded not for her singing talent, but the fact that she was from Utah–the Mormon vote.
Third he did nothing against Vote For the Worst. He could have sued the jerk in charge to take down that website. Instead viewers saw good semifinalists/finalists cheated for Scott Savol, Kevin Covais, Sanjaya, Kristy Lee Cook, Tim Urban, Heejun Hun, and Lazaro Arbos.
I hope Lythgoe goes to jail or he is successfully sued for millions by those victims.
Very unlikely he’ll go to jail for any of that.
