Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

To celebrate that 20th season, I’ll be posting my all-time favorite post-Voice songs released by the amazing artists we’ve met on the show.

Addison Agen, from Season 13, released the folksy “My Kitchen Floor” on Saturday. It marks the 19-year-old’s first single since finishing second on the show more than three years ago. There’s also a music video, shot in one day, during which Addison wound up with her first scar after slipping on “a rug thing.” And there will be a 12-song singer-songwriter album to follow, which Addison described as “super hopeful” in tone during a recent TV interview.

Karlee Metzger, from Season 11, recently released a five-song EP called “Something’s Gotta Change.” And it’s a female singer-songwriter delight. Karlee’s wonderful vocals are especially effective on “Light Up Again” and “Don’t Wanna Be Alone,” but every song here deserves to be heard. Writes Karlee on social media: “This experience (making the EP) has brought me so much peace and healing during the most challenging year of our lives, and I hope it does the same for you.”

Ricky Duran, runner-up from Season 17, is back with another great song, “Selfish Love.” This one is more upbeat than December’s superb “She Closed Her Eyes.” Says Ricky about “Selfish Love”: “This song is about putting everything in the rear view & taking a chance on yourself.”

Jaclyn Lovey, from Season 14, released “When It’s Done,” a song about the end of a relationship on Friday. She gets a vocal assist from Timothy Brown. Just 16 when she appeared on the show in the spring of 2018, Jaclyn’s already released three EPs since.
