New post-Voice music releases include country singles from Johnny Gates, Mikele Buck and Curtis Grimes.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. And Spotify snippets are posted below.

Also, keep checking back daily during Season 20 of The Voice.

To celebrate that 20th season, I’ll be posting my all-time favorite post-Voice songs released by the amazing artists we’ve met on the show.

Johnny Gates, the Season 12 rocker, released his latest country single, “Flirt,” on Friday. Johnny told Hollywood Life: “With ‘Flirt,’ I was just really trying to describe a typical Nashville Friday night with my friends … Maybe meeting someone new and just really living in that moment with them and keeping it cool. Learning about where she’s from, stories behind tattoos, and just talking until last call.”

Mikele Buck from Season 15 and his band has released a single called “County Side.” Apparently, the first version of the song posted to Spotify had a gap of some sort, a fact that Mikele and a buddy had a bit of fun recreating on Instagram. All seems fine now with Mikele’s first single of 2021.

Curtis Grimes from Season 1 released “Friends” on Friday, then took to social media to thank fans for streaming the song more than 22,000 times in a single day. He’s also celebrating 2 million streams of his last single, “Still a Little Country Left.” And it appears there might be a budding star in the Grimes family. Check out this adorable video of his young daughter using the plug on an electrical cord for a mic.
