Caroline Pennell from The Voice Season 8 has a new single out.

Caroline Pennell released her first music video earlier this year.

It didn’t take long for the second to land.

Caroline released her new single, “Drive Me Home,” and its accompanying music video this week.

The song is a celebration of that comfortable feeling of home — and the special people who make you feel that level of comfort even when you aren’t home.

Caroline told OnesToWatch.com that the song was one of the first she wrote after moving to L.A. following her highly successful stint on The Voice.

“So it came from a place of total homesickness,” she said. “Growing up on the other side of the country and leaving everyone I loved back there to build a new life over here was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

“Writing this love song to them helped me through that transition. At the core, the song is really just about home in the truest sense, and the people who give you that sense of comfort even when you’re thousands of miles away.”

Musically, Caroline’s been picking up steam over the past year or so, releasing three other singles — “Lovesick,” “Follow the Sun” and “Say It in Silence” — plus a three-track holiday EP and a music video for “Lovesick.”

She’s also the featured vocalist on two recently released EDM tracks, “Wake Up for the Night” by Alyx Ander and “These Heights” by Bassjacker & Lucas & Steve.

Caroline was 17 when she auditioned for The Voice in the fall of 2013 and advanced all the way to the Top 8 on Season 5.

Here’s the new music video.
