American Idol champ Iam Tongi has a new single on the horizon. And he’s coming to the East Coast.
Iam has maintained a busy concert schedule since winning Season 21, but most of those shows have been on the West Coast.
“I saw the comments about playing shows on the east coast, so here we go! i’m headed your way in october,” he recently wrote on social media.
He’ll be playing eight East Coast shows between Oct. 25 and early November, including stops in Washington, D.C. and Annapolis, Md.
You can check out the full list below. Tickets are available here.
Meanwhile, Iam’s about to release his first original song since Idol ended. That would be “Why Kiki,” a song he previewed to great response from fans back in late June.
The song is now available for pre-order on Apple Music with an expected release date of Sept. 22.
Iam recently released a lovely cover of “Starting All Over Again” in honor of the victims of the Maui wildfires in his home state of Hawaii.
As of Monday, the song was still number 22 on the Apple Music singer-songwriter chart.
All proceeds from the release will go to wildfire victims, and Iam also participated in a Sept. 8 livestream event to support the cause.
Other artists on the livestream included Mick Fleetwood, LL Cool J, Sarah McLachlan and Ziggy Marley.
For those who might have missed it, Iam has also released a cover of “Monsters,” featuring James Blunt. That dropped in late August.
Now, for those East Coast dates, as well as Iam’s other upcoming tour dates between now and then.

WHAT A FANTASTIC AND INSPIRATIONAL YOUNG MAN, HONESTLY YOU ARE AMAZING!! YOUR DAD WOULD BE SO SO PROUD AS AM I AND I DON’T EVEN KNOW YOU. YOU HAVE TURNED SUCH A BIG NEGATIVE INTO A BEAUTIFUL POSITIVE, WELL DONE YOUNG MAN X
Iam, you sure do have a busy schedule. I hope you don’t wear yourself out or get sick from lack of enough sleep and making your immune system low. Just worried about you. Please do a concert in Evansville, Indiana. Love you. Have fun touring but get sleep and stay safe.
