Kayla Seeber advanced on The Voice Comeback Stage, scoring a battle round victory in video exclusive the show released Monday night.

Kayla, 18, of Poplar Grove, Ill., was pitting against Crystal Rose, 26, Kansas City, Miss.

Viewers met both singers during Monday’s blind audition episode of The Voice where neither turned a chair but both earned words of encouragement from the show’s coaches.

Kayla performed “What You Know” by Two Door Cinema Club for her battle round match; Crystal counted with “At Last” by Etta James.

And while Crystal nailed a couple of impressive glory notes, it was Kayla that provided the more unique performance. The angst that she’d shown during her blind audition performance of “Baby One More Time” served her even better this time around.

Bebe Rexha made the decision, as Kayla joined Kanard Thomas and the married duo of Chesi and Nathan Arnett as Comeback Stage first-round winners.

Each will next face someone eliminated during the battle round, which begins in two weeks on The Voice.

Here’s Kayla’s Comeback Stage victory. Start at the 6:24 mark if you want the new performances without any of the filler.
