John Legend matched two of talented young female singers against one another in his final battle round match Monday.

Kayslin Victoria, 16, of Clermont, Fla., auditioned with “Feel It Still” by Portugal The Man and turned two chairs, eventually nabbing the final spot on Team Legend.

Oliv Blu, 20, of Flossmoor, Ill., earned her spot on Team Legend by performing “On & On” by Erykah Badu for her blind audition.

The song: “Location” by Khalid
The feedback: Kelly said Kayslin has a gigantic voice for such a small girl. But added she was hanging on every word Oliv sang. The other coaches agreed it was a very even match.
The outcome: John advanced Kayslin, saying he doesn’t have any other female pop singers on his team. Blake used the final steal of the battle round on Oliv.
My take: John’s comments from rehearsal were right. For someone so young, Kayslin shows tons of confidence. Not to mention pop star potential. Oliv is the more experienced singer, displayed a great jazzy tone and added some really nice wrinkles to her performance. A well-deserved steal for her.
