Alyssa Lazar is among the artists to announce they auditioned for Season 23 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, March 6.

Here’s more about Alyssa:

* She’s a pop-rock artist from Clarks Summit, Pa., who now refers to herself as a “nash vegas showgirl.”

* And she has lots of released music you can already listen to, including a 2021 seven-track project called “Hopeless Romanticism.”

* “Maybe I Did Change,” the final track from that album, is her most popular on Spotify with more than 159,000 streams. There’s also a music video for the song that you can check out on her YouTube channel.

* She’s released a handful of singles too, most recently a song called “Sick Feeling” in September. She also produced the song and says it’s “truly been one of my favorites since the moment I wrote it.” Check out a snippet below.

* In her website bio, Alyssa says she grew up surrounded by music, started singing at age 3 and got serious about music at age 8 when she learned to play piano.

* By high school, she was performing weekly shows around the Scranton, Pa. area. Then she headed to Nashville as a voice major at Belmont University.

* She’s been performing regularly ever since, got to open for Edwin McCain at least twice in 2022 and has also performed at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and the Bitter End in New York.

* She says her major musical influences include Elvis Presley, Queen, Billy Joel, Lady Gage and Elton John.

* Alyssa also has more than 23,000 followers on TikTok where she displays her excellent voice and her sense of humor. For instance, she recently demonstrated her “sexy subtle mic toss,” jokingly adding she’s sure she can do it better than any of her fellow Voice contestants.

* In a late 2021 interview, Alyssa said “my ultimate goal through my music career, whether it be through the flamboyant way I dress, my lyrics, or through live performance, is to inspire people to be the boldest versions of themselves. We often WANT to make the bold statement, make the first move, wear the piece that feels a little out of our comfort zone, or just have the courage to believe in ourselves. Sometimes all it takes is one person to be able to push you to do it. I want to be THAT for people. ”
