Chloe Abbott from The Voice Season 23

Chloe Abbott is among the singers to announce that she auditioned for The Voice Season 23.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, March 6.

Here’s more about Chloe.

* She’ll be unique as a Voice contestant, because she’s also a track star in the 400 meters.

* And in announcing her audition Feb. 20, she wrote: “Singing on the show has always been a dream of mine. P.S. — yes, I’m still a professional athlete.”

* In fact, Chloe has long been determined to pursue both passions. She graduated from the University of Kentucky as a track star who majored in theater with a minor in vocal performance.

* Chloe has even performed the national anthem prior to some of the track meets in which she’s participated.

* Her love of track began at Northville (Michigan) High School, where she nabbed state titles in the 200 meters, 400 meters and 4 x 400 relay as a senior.

* In college, she was a four-time first-team All-American, finishing second in the 400 meters at the NCAA championships as a senior.

* As a singer, Chloe gravitates toward R&B, soul, gospel and the classics, she said in a 2021 interview with Women’s Running.

* At the times, she listed her inspirations as Jhené Aiko, John Legend, Sam Smith and Etta James.

* She’s also released a trio of singles beginning with “Dinner Table Talk” in 2020 and following up with “Calypso” and “Slimthinn” in 2021. Check out “Calypso,” her most recent release below.

* Chloe dedicates her YouTube channel to “show my viewers what it’s like to have more than one aspiration and how to manage all of them successfully.” Her other aspiration: Demonstrating that that’s possible.
