Tiana Goss is the artists to announce that she auditioned for Season 23 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, March 6.

Here’s more about Tiana.

* She’s in her late 20s, from Los Angeles and classifies herself as a contemporary R&B artist “sprinkled with a little bit of pop.”

* She also auditioned for Season 22, singing Nelly Furtado’s “Say It Right.” She was featured in the season premiere, but failed to turn a chair.

* John Legend and Blake Shelton both encouraged her to return, with the former predicting she’d do well if she matched the right approach with the right song. Gwen Stefani said she loved Tiana’s tone.

* Since then, Tiana was featured in an episode of Jubilee Media’s YouTube show Odd Man Out. She was one of six real singers in an episode that also included a fake singer. The goal was to pick out the fake.

* Tiana has already released a good deal of music, including a five-song 2018 “Back to Earth” EP. “I wanted to write and create a project that was unique and personal” said Tiana, who refers to herself as an intergaltic songstress on Instagram.

* She’s released at least three singles since then. “Avatar,” which dropped in 2020, is her most popular to date on YouTube. “Sweet Tooth,” released in 2021, was accompanied by her first music video and appears to be her latest release.

* Tiana was 28 when she auditioned for The Voice and her bio segment featured footage of her at her full-time job, working with kids ages 2 to 5 at a day care.

* She said her sessions with the students includes a designated time for music. “They get so into it,” she said. “They’re head-banging. They’ve having a good time. I love that I get to incorporate my love of music and show it to the children.”

* That said, she made it clear her aspiration is to become a full-time musician.
