Clint Sherman from The Voice Season 21

Clint Sherman is among the artists who auditioned for Season 21 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 20. Here’s more about Clint.

* He’s a Dallas-based musician who’s already released original music.

* He was lead singer of Blackland Fever, described as a soulful southern rock group on its website. The band also included Johnathan Hutton, George Johnson and Alex Conrad Muller.

* Blackland Fever dropped a debut single in 2017 called “Whispering Wind,” and followed up with singles “Buy You a Round” (2018) and “Honeymoon.”

* The band’s biggest release was a 2019 five-song EP called “Shot in the Dark.” “Locked Up” and the title track are particularly impressive. You can check out a live version of “Locked Up” below.

* “Honeymoon” was the band’s most successful release, with more than 30,000 streams on Spotify.

* The band appears to have disbanded around the end of 2019. It’s social media accounts have gone dark and there hasn’t been a post on the band’s Facebook page since November of that year.

* Around 2019, Clint also began performing as a duo with Ashley Howell called Clint & Ashley. They described themselves as a “harmony-driven, soul-charging duo.” Again, there’s hasn’t been a post on their Instagram since 2019.

* Clint placed third in the Blue Light Dallas Songwriting competition in 2019.
