Her audition: Emma Brooke, 19 of Lyman, S.C., performed “California Dreaming” by The Mamas and the Papas. A fabulous opening prompted an almost immediate chair turn from John Legend. Midway through the song, Gwen Stefani turned as well. Despite a great ending glory note, Emma couldn’t entice the other coaches to turn. John complimented her on a powerful tone, but said he wants to see Emma cut loose vocally. Emma opted to join Team Legend.
