Her audition: Gracee Shriver, 16, of Owasso, Okla, performed “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves, showing up on stage with a fine country voice just after Blake Shelton filled his team. Gracee coaxed chair turns from Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani. Gwen said Gracee’s voice gave her chills. Kelly complimented her “distinct” sound and said she felt she’d go crazy if Gracee didn’t chose her. Fortunately, Kelly’s still sane; Gracee opted to join Team Kelly.

My husband and I are thrilled – we think she is the Great-Granddaughter of one of our neighbors, Mrs. Ruth Wuertley. Ruth was a great lady. I know Ruth is in Heaven cheering Gracie on. Goodness Ruth must be so proud.
