Keilah Grace from The Voice Season 21

Keilah Grace is among the artists to announce they auditioned for Season 21 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 20. Here’s more about Keilah.

* She’s 15-year-old singer-songwriter and actress Keilah Grace Wolk, based in New York.

* In spite of her young age, she released a debut EP called “15” as Keilah Grace in May. And it’s an impressive project. I’ve embedded “Greener Grass,” my favorite track, below. But “Fire First” is excellent too.

* Keilah told Voice Views she wrote all three songs on the EP. She says she started writing songs at age 8 and already has many completed songs in my catalog.

* As for her sound, she told Voice Views: “I would say that my music falls into the category of singer/songwriter pop, but I also feel like music is becoming more and more genre-less these days, and I enjoy exploring different ways to express myself as an artist.”

* In spite of her young age, the EP wasn’t even Keilah’s first release. In 2019, she was featured on “Somehow,” a dance single from Eztioko. And she collaborated with Catherine Dimeglio and Maddie Lynn on a version of “Silent Night” that appeared on An Emerging Talent Holiday album.

* On YouTube, Keilah writes: “Been singing since I could talk, and now I can’t stop. Half Filipina, half European, 100% singer-songwriter.”

* On Soundcloud, she adds: “I started writing and teaching myself how to play instruments at the age of eight. Since then, everything I come across becomes a new song.”

* In addition to singing, Keilah plays guitar, piano and ukulele.

* And you’ll find some of Keilah’s unreleased original songs on that Soundcloud page.

* Her musical inspiration is Tori Kelly, who at one point signed Keilah’s guitar.

* The acting part of her bio is more than wishful thinking. In addition to being involved in a couple of theatrical productions and appearing in a couple of commercials, Keilah appeared in a spring episode of “FBI: Most Wanted” on CBS.

* Wrote Keilah of that experience on Instagram: “I had so much fun on set. The cast and crew were all so sweet, and it would be an honor to work with any one of them again!”
