Samuel Harness from The Voice Season 21

Samuel Harness is among the artists to announce they auditioned for Season 21 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 20. Here’s more about Samuel.

* His Spotify bio describes him as a soul singer-songwriter who was born in Louisiana and has been performing for more than 10 years.

* He’s now a full-time touring musician who has released 20 singles since 2017.

* On Instagram, he says it all started around 2012 when he had no tattoos, really short hair, would borrow a guitar and start singing for people. “usually a group of girls with their phones out.”

* “I had a lot of people tell me when I first started that I should just stop or that a regular job is better for me,” he writes. That included a music teacher he says he looked up to who told him “music just might not be your thing.”

* After all the doubt, he says he’s gotten to prove the doubters wrong. He became a full-time touring artist about three years ago, “being invited to sing in other countries and all over the USA! I’m literally living out my dreams.”

* As for those singles, Samuel hasn’t released music this year, but four came out last year — “You Make It Look Easy,” “Not the One,” “Don’t Break My Heart So Bad,” “Falling Apart.” Check them out and they’ll make you sorry The Voice doesn’t showcase originals on the show. “You Make It Look Easy” is especially impressive. Check it out below.

* His most streamed song on Spotify is “Tuesday,” which was released back in 2017.
